The De Rijke Miffy Moonphase pay homage to a personality created for kids, and it’s clear nice care was put into the element to make sure it was dropped at life with love and respect for the work of Bruna. The character, Miffy, who’s a small rabbit that first appeared in print in 1955, seems throughout the moonphase disc, revealed by a big aperture at 12 o’clock. The likeness has been etched out of brass, polished and silver plated. A wealthy blue backdrop hosts stars and Miffy herself, every of which has been hand-filled with Superluminova in a colour correct to the unique art work.
In keeping with founder Laurens De Rijke: “With my model I’ve all the time needed to focus on a sure playfulness. With the Amalfi the playfulness was discovered within the rotating case and within the illustrations of Man Allen, with Miffy, the rotating case mechanism is simply one other playfully side of the watch. Subsequent to that, Miffy is a real murals and quintessentially Dutch.”
